As a Material Planner your duties and responsibilities will included, but are not limited to:
- Ensure material availability by analyzing MRP results and balancing demand vs. supply
- Manage inventory levels to avoid shortages and excess stock
- Coordinate supply execution with purchasing, suppliers, and production
- Maintain planning master data (lead times, lot sizes, safety stock, forecast parameters)
- Resolve supply risks and exceptions (expedite, reschedule, recovery actions)
- With a focus on optimization, driving continuous improvements in our material planning processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in materials planning, production planning, or supply chain roles within a manufacturing environment and hands-on experience planning and controlling production orders from release through completion.
- Strong SAP experience required (PP/MM modules preferred)
- Solid understanding of MRP, lead times, forecasting models and planning principles
- Proficiency with Excel and data analysis tools to monitor performance, identify trends, and support decision-making
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills, with experience acting as a key interface between Sales, Procurement, Warehouse, and Production.
- Confident in presenting planning constraints, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
