Job Type: Full Time | Days
Schedule: Monday - Fridays, 40-Hour Weeks

North Alabama Medical Center, opened its doors in 2018, as the replacement facility for Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital, in Florence, Alabama. North Alabama Medical Center serves as a regional facility with more than 200 physicians on staff who represent more than 42 specialty areas of medicine.
How you'll contribute
A Surgical Technician who excels in this role:
- Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
- Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments.
- Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
- Passes instruments to physician during surgery.
- Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.
- Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for
Requires Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment; rapid learning and navigation of multiple software systems; effective English communication (read/write/speak); ability to complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.
- Licenses: Surgical Technician Certification current & in good standing REQUIRED.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
- High School Diploma REQUIRED.
