Graduate Assistant - Athletics

Chatham University is an NCAA division III institution member of the President’s Athletic Conference (PAC) and the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC), seeks applications for a game management intern for their athletics department. This position is a 2-year appointment and comes with a stipend and waiver for graduate school.

Game management responsibilities will be assigned by the assistant athletic director and include but may not be limited to:

· Assist in the development and execution of game day events

· Serve as on-site administrator for home contests when needed

· Manage and oversee other game management staff

· Assist with the set up and tear-down preparation on game days

· Attend office hours during the week to gain experience

· Other duties assigned

Education, Training and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree required. Ability to act proactively and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Strong, courteous customer service skills are a must. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Excellent organizational skills Demonstrated initiative and flexibility. Knowledgeable of functions and usage of mobile devices (smartphones, tablets, etc..) A valid driver’s License and driving record, which meets institutional requirements, required. Ability to work weekends, evenings, and maintain a flexible schedule.

All current student employees should notify their other manager(s) if you work multiple jobs on campus at the same time. Additionally, students may not work more than 20 hours per week (combined between all campus jobs) during the academic year. Students may not exceed 980 work hours per calendar year.

Student jobs do not automatically roll over to the next academic year or summer.
