Traveling Dental Hygienist
21st Century - Springfield

21st Century - Springfield is looking for a Dental Hygienist to join our friendly and collaborative team!!
As a Traveling Dental Hygienist based out of the 21st Century - Springfield practice, you'll also support our exceptional dental teams at Springfield Dental Care, Dental Group of Springfield, and Dental Care at Prairie Crossing.
Schedule
- Monday 7:00am-4:00pm (21st Century - Springfield)
- Tuesday 7:00am-4:00pm (21st Century - Springfield)
- Wednesday - OFF or Travel Team
- Thursday - OFF or Travel Team
- Friday - OFF or Travel Team
Patient Schedule
- Single column schedule, averaging 7 patients/day
- 50-minute prophys and recare appointments
- 60-90 minute SRP appointments
- 80-minute New Patient appointments

Minimum Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in Illinois and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Local Anesthesia and Nitrous certification
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
Preferred Experience
- New graduates and experienced hygienists welcome!
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
- Clinical needs as required by office
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year

This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment.
