The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Cox Automotive is hiring a Manager, Accounting - Consolidations and Intercompany. The role, located in Atlanta, Georgia, is responsible for leading Cox Automotive's consolidation and intercompany accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, strong internal controls, and effective governance over complex accounting processes. This role oversees the monthly consolidation process, intercompany accounting and accounting for goodwill, intangible assets and investments. The Manager, Accounting plays a key role in the accounting and support for acquisitions, divestitures, system integrations, and other strategic initiatives while ensuring audit readiness, controls compliance, and adherence to U.S. GAAP. Additionally, this position is responsible for leading and developing a team of accounting professionals, driving process standardization and automation, and enhancing operational efficiency.
Job Responsibilities
Lead the monthly OneStream consolidation process including US Oracle financial systems, non-core and international locations.
Oversee accounting, reporting, and impairment testing for investments, goodwill, intangible assets, and equity.
Prepare and review monthly reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, account analyses, and flux commentary.
Oversee and improve the consolidated intercompany process, including governance of inter- and intra-divisional balances and transactions.
Provide accounting and support for strategic initiatives, acquisitions, divestitures, and organizational changes.
Provide significant support for external audits, compliance activities and internal controls testing.
Support debt reporting and covenant compliance requirements.
Drive process improvements, automation opportunities, and standardization across consolidation and intercompany processes.
Partner closely with Technical Accounting, Tax, and International Accounting support global financial reporting, U.S. GAAP compliance, and cross-functional initiatives affecting the company's legal entity structure.
Lead mapping, testing, validation, and implementation efforts for new ledgers and acquisitions into OneStream.
Manage a team of 2 employees, including coaching, cross-training, and professional development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, and/or finance with 6+ years’ accounting experience required. A candidate may also have a Master's Degree with 4+ years of experience or a Ph.D. with 1+ year of experience. Candidates without a degree must have 10+ years of relevant work experience.
1+ year experience in a management or lead role
At least 2+ years in consolidation or intercompany role for large, multinational company strongly preferred.
Knowledge of month-end close processes and general accounting principles.
Ability to lead and develop teams.
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, under pressure with shifting priorities.
Proven ability to partner and work with all levels in the organization.
Proven ability to deliver high levels of customer service.
Proven ability to work independently and solve problems resourcefully.
Ability to understand business strategy and translate it into effective tactical plans.
Excellent oral and written communication is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of internal controls and GAAP.
Highly detail-oriented and organized.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Strong knowledge of Hyperion Financial Manager and/or OneStream required, with Oracle Financials, Blackline and Power BI strongly preferred.
Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
