Inventory Coordinator - Radiology

 

Schedule:

• 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

 

 

Coordinates inventory control processes, including ordering, stocking, and maintaining supplies in assigned departments. Handles instrument and equipment repair requests, collaborates with managers and leaders to improve inventory practices, and ensures efficient supply management.

 

 

Essential Functions:

• Performs daily restocking of supplies, orders supplies, and maintains a current inventory database.
• Establishes reporting and evaluation systems to monitor inventory performance. Identifies and implements approved improvements to inventory structure and cost reduction.
• Processes instrument and equipment cleaning and repair requests, troubleshooting malfunctions as needed, and ensures compliance with environmental and safety standards.
• Communicates with purchasing to ensure accurate supply pricing and addresses backorder issues. Collaborates to enhance inventory management practices.
• Provides inventory reports, updates charge codes, and oversees cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Ensures compliance with EOC and JCAHO readiness rounds regarding supply and equipment storage.

Education Requirement:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• College coursework, preferred.

• Knowledge of supply distribution and materials management terminology.
• Ability to understand and apply standards of infection control.
• Ability to understand and apply inventory management skills.

Experience:

Inventory management experience, preferred.
