Rad Tech/Phlebotomist / Occupational Health/ Full Time / Days

Rad Tech/Phlebotomist is responsible for patient positioning, operating radiographic equipment, ensuring radiologic safety, and developing high-quality images. Additionally, ensures accurate specimen collection for laboratory testing through proficient phlebotomy practices and verification of appropriate patient information, provider orders, and test specific sample requirements. Rad Tech/Phlebotomist is an onsite position.

Essential Functions

  • Proper positioning and transferring of patients, ensuring safety and comfort while applying immobilization devices when required.
  • Displays an understanding of procedures and equipment utilized throughout the department.
  • Follows prescribed safety standards to protect patients and staff, including proper radiation protection and adherence to safety protocols during radiographic procedures.
  • Develop high-quality radiographs (films) through automatic or manual processes, ensuring technical quality and compliance with safety standards.
  • Works effectively with ancillary staff.
  • Ensure accurate specimen collection for laboratory testing through proficient phlebotomy practices and verification of appropriate patient information, provider orders, and test‑specific sample requirements.
  • Prepare, prevent, protect and respond to support our culture of safety.
  • Works hours per week in accordance with offer letter or per attributes of position at transfer request. May be expected to work longer hours as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education: Associate degree in Radiology,

License:  Current Ohio Radiology Licensure

Experience: None

Certification: 

  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification
  • BLS within 7 days of hire
