Quick Facts Location: Hillsborough, CA Start Date: 10/19/2026 End Date: 04/19/2027 Shift: Day 5x10-Hour (07:00 – 17:00) Hours/week: Full-Time (at least 2 weeks/month) Employment Type: Contract License/Certs: CA Medical License, DEA (Schedule 2/2n), Board Certification or Eligibility, BLS, ACLS Experience: Minimum 2 years in anesthesiology, recent tertiary care experience preferred Pay & Benefits Hourly Rate: $390/hour (all-inclusive) Benefits: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time (per all applicable laws) Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements where applicable What You’ll Do Provide anesthesia coverage in hospital OR for general cases and select regional procedures Support high-acuity inpatient surgical cases (ASA 3) and occasional outpatient procedures Float between sister facilities including Bay Front, Mt. Zion, Mission Bay, Ortho Institute, Parnassus, and Burlingame Work independently, often solo, with occasional oversight of CRNAs Document perioperative care efficiently using EPIC EMR Cover adult and adolescent patients (13) across various surgical specialties Maintain compliance with all credentialing and licensing requirements What You Need California Medical License and DEA with Schedule 2/2n Board Certified or truly board eligible, fellowship trained preferred Minimum 2 years recent experience in tertiary care or high-acuity settings Experience working solo in hospital OR environment Strong knowledge of general anesthesia, high-acuity cases, and perioperative documentation in EPIC Trauma experience strongly preferred Willingness to float across multiple sister facilities and adapt to inpatient/outpatient settings About the Assignment Join a busy hospital-based anesthesiology team supporting general, complex, and regional anesthesia procedures. Expect to cover high-acuity inpatient cases, occasionally work at outpatient centers, and float among several high-level surgical sites. This position offers stability, competitive compensation, and a collaborative work environment with supportive staff including CRNAs. Credentialing time is estimated at 60–90 days.
