Full job description
Electrical Engineer 2
Drive technical excellence and system reliability by designing, reviewing, and managing critical electrical infrastructure projects to support high-quality manufacturing operations.
This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you will do:
Deliver greater operational impact by identifying, scoping, and managing key energy conservation and electrical project engineering initiatives.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders including maintenance groups, JLL, and SHE teams to provide technical support on operational issues, troubleshooting, and permit applications.
Perform detailed design for small to mid-scale projects, including load calculations, coordination studies, short circuit calculations, voltage drop calculations, and equipment specifications.
Execute rigorous design reviews for large-scale projects to ensure system compatibility, strict conformance, and seamless constructability.
Conduct field inspections and provide hands-on implementation support for electrical, security, fire alarm, data/telecom, and instrumentation installations.
Serve as the site Subject Matter Expert by reviewing and approving changes to Vacaville electrical drawings and Change Records impacting validated systems.
Demonstrate professional growth and leadership capability by managing full project lifecycles from initiation through to design, construction, and commissioning.
What we are looking for:
Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, with a strong understanding of the full project lifecycle (initiation, design, construction, and commissioning/validation).
Technical Skills: Proficient in industrial standards, codes, construction practices, and executing detailed design elements like single-line drawings, ladder logic control drawings, and equipment specs.
Education & Qualifications: BSEE degree or equivalent transferable technical background. EIT or PE registration is highly desirable.
Collaboration: Proven ability to function effectively both in a collaborative team environment across various functional groups and independently with minimal supervision.
Physical & Environment Adaptability: Ability to work across varied environments (office, utility, clean room, warehouse, laboratory, and outdoors) requiring clean room gowning and climbing stairs, ladders, or scaffolding.
