Work Environment
This position is onsite at our hospital facility in Arlington, where you will have the support of a collaborative clinical team. Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans for patients across a range of age groups and conditions.
- Utilize effective communication and interpersonal skills to educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, home care, and rehabilitation goals.
- Document treatment sessions, patient progress, and care provided in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal standards.
- Implement infection control protocols and standard precautions while carrying out patient care activities, thereby safeguarding the health of patients and staff.
- Participate in continuing education and in-service training programs to enhance professional development and stay current with industry best practices.
- Exhibit clinical competence by accepting assignments that align with your qualifications and exhibit a strong commitment to professional growth.
- Leverage technology and electronic health records to manage patient information and communication with the healthcare team effectively.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will provide therapy to a diverse patient population, including children, adults, and geriatric patients with a variety of physical therapy needs. This includes post-operative rehabilitation, chronic pain management, and mobility restoration. You will be integral in helping patients achieve their functional goals and improving their quality of life through personalized therapy interventions.
Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is required.
- Licensure: You must possess a current Virginia State License to practice physical therapy.
- Experience: A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, with a strong focus on manual therapy techniques preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
