Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:00)
Weekends required with rotation among full-time therapy staff.
Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Acute Care Physical Therapist for a dynamic and fast-paced short-term acute care facility. The role requires strong clinical skills in managing a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. A commitment to providing high-quality patient care through appropriate evaluation, treatment planning, and rehabilitation interventions is essential.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient evaluations and create individualized treatment plans.
Administer appropriate interventions and adjust plans based on patient progress.
Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and self-care.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Document all patient care activities in the Epic charting system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Active Physical Therapist license required.
Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience.
Experience with various patient diagnoses including spinal conditions, post-operative rehabilitation, and neurological conditions.
