Position Overview
Flex Well Therapy Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team in Pleasantville, New Jersey, providing top-quality home care services. This full-time role focuses on delivering personalized therapy solutions that cater to the unique needs of each patient, facilitating recovery and improving overall quality of life. As an integral member of our team, you will work closely with patients across various age groups, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care in the comfort of their own homes.

Work Environment
This position is onsite, primarily focusing on home care, allowing you to work directly in patient homes, which can enhance therapeutic relationships and improve patient outcomes. Our work schedule includes shifts from Monday to Thursday, from 3 pm to 7 pm, with a reduced hour shift on Fridays, enabling a balanced work-life dynamic. We prioritize a team-oriented environment where collaboration and communication are key to addressing patient needs effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' physical capabilities and limitations, utilizing standard physical therapy practices.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and medical histories, ensuring alignment with physician referrals.
- Utilize evidence-based modalities and treatment procedures to address a variety of injuries and disabilities.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams regarding care plans, progress, and therapeutic goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress, in line with regulatory standards.
- Ensure supervisory oversight of physical therapy assistants, aides, and support staff, fostering high-quality patient care.
- Participate in the quality improvement process, including the upkeep and safe operation of therapy equipment.
- Engage in continuing education and mentoring, promoting professional growth for yourself and your colleagues.
- Assist with departmental operations, including scheduling, supply management, and budgets as needed.
- Support program development and marketing efforts to expand our patient referral base and enhance service offerings.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your work will encompass a wide range of patient populations, including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric individuals. You will tailor therapy approaches to meet the specific needs of each demographic, ensuring culturally competent care that acknowledges individual backgrounds and experiences.
Qualifications
- Current state Physical Therapist license.
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of one year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Ability to demonstrate skills and experience relevant to the diverse population served.
- Physical capabilities including lifting, standing, walking, and manual dexterity.
Preferred Experience
While a Bachelor's degree is required, candidates with a Master's or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree will be given preference. Additionally, experience in home care settings will enhance your candidacy, particularly if you have worked with varied patient populations. Proficiency in specific therapeutic modalities will be advantageous.
