Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, IL is seeking a Director of Cerebrovascular Surgery at the Associate Professor or Professor level. This position is a key member of our growing regional neurosurgical program. Reporting to the Chair of Neurosurgery, Bruce Frankel, MD, this is an exciting opportunity to expand and enhance an academic Neurosurgery program in Illinois. Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Neurosurgery. Illinois licensure is required prior to official start date. Successful completion of a Fellowship in Endovascular Neurosurgery, with or without additional open Cerebrovascular training, is required.
5+ years of clinical or academic leadership experience and demonstrated experience in program development or leadership in cerebrovascular neurosurgery are preferred.

The budgeted annual salary range is $450,000 to $495,000, representing the academic base salary only, which is funded through the University. The final academic base salary will be determined by a thorough assessment of available market data, internal salary equity, candidate experience and qualifications, and budget considerations. Additional clinical compensation will be provided separately through a member practice agreement .
