Full job description
At Lilly, the work is demanding because patients are waiting. We unite caring with discovery to help make life better for people around the world, knowing that every decision, every detail, and every day matters. Headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, our over 50,000 employees around the globe take on complex challenges to discover and deliver life-changing medicines, strengthen how health is understood and managed, and support the communities we serve. This is hard, urgent, selfless work—but it’s work worth doing. If you’re driven by purpose and ready to bring your best to work that truly matters for patients, we invite you to join us.
Lilly recently announced a $4.5 billion investment to create the Lilly Medicine Foundry, a new center for advanced manufacturing and drug development. The first-ever facility of its kind, combining research and manufacturing in a single location, the Medicine Foundry will allow Lilly to further develop innovative solutions to optimize manufacturing processes and increase capacity for clinical trial medicines, while also reducing costs and environmental impact.
The Spare Parts Coordinator serves as the continuity point for MRO supply across the Lilly Medicine Foundry, maintaining uninterrupted parts availability for every building — from staging through delivery, on-site stock management, and returns to Central MRO for rebuild or repair.
Responsibilities
Manage parts received at the warehouse staging location against purchase orders/documentation before transport
Deliver to point of use: transport and deliver verified parts carts from staging to the correct building across the Foundry, ensuring accurate and timely handoff
Coordinate and prepare return shipments of equipment/parts to the Central MRO warehouse for rebuild or repair
Perform accurate data entry into the GMARS inventory system for all inbound, delivery, and return transactions
Point of contact for onsite MRO vendor managed inventory stock, changes and other needs
Conduct routine inventory counts (cycle counts), reconcile discrepancies, and manage on-site MRO stock levels — monitoring against established min/max thresholds and triggering replenishment as needed
Align with Central MRO in order to balance availability of unique on-site critical spare parts inventory vs. offsite common component centrally managed stock.
Maintain storage locations in a clean, organized, and compliant manner, optimizing space for efficient retrieval
Follow up on open order and return statuses with suppliers/internal stakeholders, proactively flagging shortages or delays
Support documentation processes (e.g., matching invoices, work orders, desktop requests, tracking approvals)
Maintain basic records related to inventory, orders, and transactions
Basic Requirements:
High School Diploma
Valid Driver's License
Minimum five years of industrial MRO coordination or planning experience
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs, and to stand, squat, and walk for extended periods
Regulated GMP manufacturing experience required
CMMS experience required
