As a PTA, you will play a crucial role in executing individualized treatment plans aimed at maximizing patient recovery and enhancing their quality of life.

About the Organization

At Personal Touch Physical Therapy Group, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional orthopedic care tailored to each patient’s needs. Our skilled team of healthcare professionals works collaboratively in a friendly and supportive environment, ensuring that every patient receives the highest standard of treatment. We believe in fostering long-term relationships with our patients, helping them achieve their health goals through evidence-based practices.

Work Environment

This position is based in a well-equipped hospital facility that provides our PTAs with access to advanced rehabilitation technology and resources. You will work in a modern clinic featuring state-of-the-art treatment areas that support both manual therapy and exercise-based rehabilitation. Collaboration with physical therapists, medical staff, and administrative personnel is integral to our environment, as we prioritize teamwork to deliver the best outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and administer prescribed therapeutic exercises under the supervision of licensed physical therapists, ensuring exercises are performed correctly and safely.
  • Assist patients with in-office therapy sessions, guiding them through activities that promote strength, balance, and functionality, while monitoring their physical progress and comfort levels.
  • Utilize rehabilitation equipment effectively, educating patients on the appropriate use of tools to facilitate their home exercise programs.
  • Maintain meticulous patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, documenting progress notes, treatment plans, and any modifications necessary to meet patient needs.
  • Coach and educate patients and their caregivers about ongoing treatment strategies and at-home exercises to support recovery and prevent re-injury.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic procedures, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal issues. This diverse population includes post-operative orthopedic patients who require rehabilitation for joint replacements, fractures, sprains, or chronic pain conditions. Your assistants and compassionate support will be crucial in instilling confidence and motivating patients throughout their recovery process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current and valid PTA license in the state of California.
  • A minimum of two years of experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting, demonstrating strong therapeutic skills.
  • Proficiency in using EMR systems, with familiarity in WebPT considered an asset.
  • A solid background in manual therapy techniques and hands-on care.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience is the minimum requirement, candidates with additional certifications in specialized therapeutic techniques or experience in a hospital rehabilitation setting will be highly regarded. We are looking for team members with a proven track record of strong patient communication and multi-disciplinary collaboration.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for the Physical Therapist Assistant position ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with company matching, and generous continuing education and training support to help you stay current in your field and advance your career.

Joining Personal Touch Physical Therapy Group means you will have access to numerous career advancement opportunities. We encourage our team members to pursue continuing education, specialized training, and professional development to enhance their skills and qualifications.
