Experience:

• 24 months of experience.

• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Kentucky license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

Special Requests: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details: Cardiac floor with a mixed population of post-cardiac surgery patients, thoracotomy/chest tube patients, patients on cardiac drips, atrial fibrillation, and medical patients requiring telemetry monitoring. RNs titrate all drips except pressors, paralytics, and TPA. CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow patients are cared for on the floor; RNs place patients on and off while respiratory therapy sets the rates. Centralized telemetry monitoring; RNs read strips once per shift and with rhythm changes. Charge nurse usually takes an assignment. Care tech support is approximately 1:15.

Shift & Scheduling: Self-scheduling, subject to change to maintain a balanced schedule. 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period. 2 summer and 3 winter holidays. No call.

Floating Requirements: May be pulled to the floors.
