Job Details
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Intensive Critical Care Unit /Medical/Surgical department. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and rewarding healthcare environment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Medical-Surgical nursing, Critical Care, and Patient Assessment, along with other key nursing skills.
Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse in our ICCU/Medical/Surgical department, you will be responsible for:
1. Providing high-quality patient care within the ICCU/Medical/Surgical department, adhering to the standards and procedures of our healthcare facility.
2. Conducting thorough patient assessments, developing individualized care plans, and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals.
3. Administering IV therapy and managing clinical documentation using Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
4. Educating patients and their families on disease processes, medical-surgical procedures, and other aspects of therapeutic regimens, including medication and pain management techniques.
5. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and services for patients.
6. Responding promptly and effectively to emergency situations and implementing appropriate interventions.
7. Advocating for patients’ rights and needs, ensuring that all care provided aligns with the patient’s needs and preferences.
8. Utilizing strong time management skills to balance the needs of a diverse patient population and a high-volume workload.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must meet the following qualifications:
1. Holds a current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.
2. Has a minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing, Critical Care, or a related field.
3. Possesses strong skills in patient assessment, care planning, and clinical documentation.
4. Has experience with IV Therapy, Patient Education, Interdisciplinary Collaboration, and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
5. Holds a current CPR/BLS certification.
6. Demonstrates excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
7. Has experience in emergency response and care coordination.
8. Has a strong commitment to patient advocacy and delivering high-quality patient care.
9. Med-Surge certification is a plus.
