Responsibilities

The clinical pharmacist optimizes patient care by providing appropriate, safe, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care, including drug dispensing, IV admixture program, and providing drug information. Works under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and/or the Pharmacy Operations Manager and will oversee the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff.


Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • B.S. or PharmD. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.

  • Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.

  • Other applicable state requirements – i.e., sterile compounding, etc.

  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

  • ALS/ACLS certification (ALS/ACLS required for attending Code Blue).

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.

  • 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education , and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
