Registered Nurse First Assistant (Perioperative)

As an RN First Assist in Mercy’s Main Operating Room, you’ll provide expert perioperative nursing care and direct first-assist support during surgical procedures. You’ll collaborate closely with surgeons and the OR team, performing tasks such as tissue handling, retraction, hemostasis, and suturing while maintaining strict sterile technique and patient safety. You’ll complete thorough pre- and post-op assessments, document intraoperative care, and support continuous quality improvement.
