We're partnering with a highly respected upscale restaurant in Portland that is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join its leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside an accomplished Executive Chef in a scratch kitchen focused on seasonal ingredients, exceptional execution, and delivering an outstanding guest experience.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in leading all daily back-of-house operations
  • Support and mentor line cooks while maintaining a positive kitchen culture
  • Ensure every dish is executed with consistency, quality, and attention to detail
  • Assist with ordering, inventory, scheduling, and food cost management
  • Maintain the highest standards of sanitation, organization, and food safety
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef on menu execution and seasonal features
  • Lead the kitchen during the Executive Chef's absence

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of Sous Chef or strong Kitchen Manager experience in an upscale or scratch kitchen
  • Passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and culinary excellence
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience managing high-volume service while maintaining quality
  • Knowledge of food cost, labor management, and inventory controls
  • Team-oriented leader with a hands-on management style
