Restaurant General Manager Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of GM-level leadership in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
• Proven track record of managing P&L, budgeting, labor controls, and cost of goods.
• Strong ability to hire, train, and develop both managers and hourly staff.
• Excellent guest-service mindset with the ability to resolve challenges quickly and professionally.
• Skilled in driving operational efficiency in a scratch kitchen atmosphere

Restaurant General Manager Preferred Background and Skills

• History of improving financial performance, increasing revenue, and maximizing profitability.
• Experience leading large teams (50+ staff) in high energy building
• Hands-on, floor-present leadership style with a focus on accountability and results.
