ANA is headquartered in Henderson, Nevada, with locations in Cypress, California, and Spartanburg, South Carolina. ANA is growing and scaling, and we are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our growing team in an onsite position in Henderson, Nevada. 

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring products and manufacturing processes meet company, customer, and regulatory quality requirements. This role works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Service, and Customers to identify quality issues, implement corrective actions, improve processes, and prevent defects using continuous improvement methodologies.

This position is fully onsite, and the work schedule is weekdays from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.   This role reports to the Quality Manager.


Role & Responsibilities:

Product Quality:

  • Develop and maintain quality standards and inspection criteria.
  • Ensure products meet engineering specifications and customer requirements.
  • Conduct first article inspections (FAI) and production validation.
  • Review production documentation for quality compliance.
  • Process Improvement:

  • Analyze manufacturing processes to reduce defects and variation.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.
  • Implement mistake-proofing (Poka-Yoke) solutions.
  • Improve production yields and reduce scrap.
  • Root Cause Analysis:

  • Investigate customer complaints and warranty failures.
  • Lead root cause investigations using:
    • 5 Why Analysis
    • Fishbone Diagram (Ishikawa)
    • Fault Tree Analysis
    • 8D Corrective Action
    • Verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
    • Quality Systems:

    • Maintain compliance with:
      • ISO 9001
      • Customer quality requirements
      • Internal Quality Management System (QMS)
      • Assist with internal and external audits.
      • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
      • Supplier Quality:

      • Evaluate supplier performance.
      • Review incoming material quality.
      • Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues.
      • Perform supplier audits when required.
      • Statistical Analysis:

      • Monitor production quality metrics.
      • Perform Statistical Process Control (SPC).
      • Analyze trends using:
        • Pareto Charts
        • Control Charts
        • Cp/Cpk Studies
        • Process Capability Analysis
        • Nonconformance Management:

        • Review and disposition nonconforming materials.
        • Issue Nonconformance Reports (NCRs).
        • Lead Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
        • Verify implementation of corrective actions.
        • Cross-Functional Support

        • Support Engineering during new product development.
        • Participate in Design Reviews and PFMEA.
        • Assist Manufacturing with process improvements.
        • Support Service and Warranty departments with field failure investigations.
        • Customer Support:

        • Participate in customer audits.
        • Respond to customer quality concerns.
        • Assist with warranty investigations.
        • Improve customer satisfaction through quality improvements.
        • Daily Responsibilities:

        • Review production quality issues.
        • Investigate defects and failures.
        • Conduct root cause analysis.
        • Review inspection reports.
        • Monitor production KPIs.
        • Update quality documentation.
        • Participate in production meetings.
        • Train employees on quality procedures.

  • Manufacturing Environment (Industrial Power Generation / Generator Systems):

    For a company that manufactures industrial generators, energy storage systems (ESS), and mobile power equipment, a Quality Engineer would also be expected to:

  • Lead Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities.
  • Support Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) quality improvements.
  • Analyze field failures and warranty claims.
  • Partner with Service to identify recurring equipment issues.
  • Ensure compliance with UL, NEC, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Review engineering change requests (ECRs/ECOs) for quality impact.
  • Track quality metrics and present reports to leadership.
  • Reduce warranty costs through proactive corrective actions.
  • Support new product launches by validating manufacturing processes and documentation.
