American Traveler is looking for a Physical Therapist to provide hybrid inpatient rehab and acute care coverage, requiring 2+ years of orthopedic experience and current BLS certification. Details

Hybrid role covering both Inpatient Rehabilitation and Acute Care settings Patient population includes Medical-Surgical, post-operative, and ICU cases Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts (8:00 AM-4:30 PM), Monday-Friday No weekends required Float between Inpatient Rehab and Acute Care based on facility needs, and potentially to an affiliate hospital nearby depending on volume/census Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience required, with orthopedic experience preferred Current BLS certification required IN state license required if applicable Experience with acute care work settings preferred Skilled in assessment techniques including AROM/AAROM/PROM, pain assessment, and strength testing Proficient in documentation including evaluations, care plans, and short/long-term goals Experience with equipment such as gait belts, walkers, sit-to-stand lifts, sliding boards, and hospital/specialty beds Experience with geriatric, neurology, and orthopedic patient populations preferred Knowledge of home exercise programs and patient/family education Experience with total hip and total knee replacement patients preferred Additional Information

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, treatment planning, and discharge planning across inpatient and acute care settings Maximum RTO is 7 days; travelers must be willing to work 1 of 3 holidays if RTO falls during a holiday period First-time travelers will be considered for this position Local candidates are accepted; candidates residing within 50 miles of the hospital are considered local Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 3 years before returning as a traveler
