ATC Locums is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician to provide hospital coverage for a vacation absence. With a manageable patient census, Epic EMR, and emergency credentialing available, this is an excellent opportunity for physicians looking for a seamless locum assignment.

Opportunity Highlights - Location: Eastern Kentucky
- Practice Setting: Community hospital with inpatient medical unit coverage
- Coverage Dates: August 6, 2026 (8:00 AM) August 10, 2026 (8:00 AM)
- Schedule: Onsite daily from 8:00 AM 6:00 PM with beeper/phone call coverage outside onsite hours
- Call: Shared call rotation (approximately 1:3-1:6) with minimal callback expectations
- Patient Volume: Approximately 14 adult inpatients per day
- Patient Population: 100% adult, with approximately 50% geriatric patients
- Trauma Designation: Level IV hospital
- Ongoing Availability: Additional future coverage opportunities may be available
Clinical Practice - Inpatient hospital medicine coverage
- Manage patients on the medical unit, including care for a single ICU bed
- Respond to occasional nursing home calls as needed
- EMR: Epic
Support & Benefits - Collaborative hospital team in a community-focused environment
- Emergency credentialing and temporary privileges available for qualified providers
Qualifications - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Active Kentucky medical license
- ACLS, BLS, and DEA required
- Clean malpractice and licensing history
