Full job description
Create the future of e-health together with us by becoming an Authorization and Denials Coordinator
At CompuGroup Medical we have the mission of building ground-breaking solutions for digital healthcare. Our vision is revolutionizing how healthcare professionals produce, access, and utilize information and thus enabling them to focus on the core value of their work: patient outcomes.
We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Onsite Coordinator to serve as the vital bridge between our client and our authorization and insurance revenue cycle teams. The ideal candidate combines strong medical office administration skills, hands-on experience with medical billing and prior authorizations, and the interpersonal skills to manage daily on-site relationships with physicians, clinical staff, and practice administrators. The role offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule with no evenings or weekends.
Your Contribution:
Own the full authorization cycle- verify insurance eligibility and benefits, gather clinical documentation, submit prior authorization requests, and track pending approvals daily to prevent scheduling delays
Manage denials and appeals — review and analyze denied claims to determine why payment was refused. Prepare and submit compelling appeal letters backed by clinical documentation, coding guidelines, and payer policies. Manage an inventory of denied accounts, tracking appeal deadlines and subsequent payer responses and overturn invalid denials to successfully recover outstanding revenue for the organization.
Drive process improvement — identify recurring denial trends by payer or department, report findings to management, and educate front-end staff to prevent authorization errors.
Your Qualification: :
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare authorizations/revenue cycle, cardiology, internal medicine, multi-specialty practice billing or authorizations, appeals, denial management, and payer escalation processes.
Strong working knowledge of insurance verification, referral management, and payer-specific authorization requirements.
EHR/Billing Systems: Proficiency with medical software (e.g., Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks), clearinghouses, NextGen or comparable EHR/practice management system.
Medical Terminology: Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding concepts.
Payer Portals: Experience navigating major insurance portals (e.g., Availity, UnitedHealthcare, Medicare/Medicaid portals).
What you can expect from us:
Monday–Friday schedule: Enjoy a consistent Monday–Friday schedule with no night or weekend shifts. Work-life balance matters here — you'll have your evenings and weekends free.
Purpose: Become a part of a significant initiative. At the intersection of healthcare and digital innovation, we are shaping the future of e-health.
