Our ideal candidate has up to 5 years of experience, a strong work ethic, a desire to learn, the willingness to work cohesively within a team, and the ability to work on multiple projects. Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Preparation of trip generation estimates, roadway volume development, parking estimates, and analyses for their projects within the team.
- Assisting in the analysis of field data, reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs to plan projects.
- Obtaining, analyzing, and interpreting demographic and other regional transportation planning data.
- Use of computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and planning documents.
- Assisting in the preparation or modification of planning documents, including transportation impact studies, and traffic operational analyses, for projects.
- Assisting in the collection of field data.
- Serving as onsite project representative.
- Use of planning software and equipment to prepare engineering, design, and planning documents.
- Responsible for job-specific quality system tasks as defined in the quality manual or handbook.
- Responsible for other general office duties as may be assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related fields
- Engineer in Training Certification Preferred
- Experience utilizing any or all of the following: Synchro, SimTraffic, Excel, AutoCAD/MicroStation (preferred but not required)
- Aptitude for detail-oriented work assignments
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and ability to meet multiple deadlines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid Driver’s License
- Experience with preparing traffic and parking studies (preferred but not required)
