CNC Field Service Engineer

Love figuring out why a machine isn't working — and actually fixing it?

We're looking for a hands-on CNC Field Service Engineer to install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair CNC machine tools for customers throughout the region.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced CNC Service Technician, CNC Maintenance Technician, Machine Tool Technician or CNC Machinist with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills who wants to build a career on the OEM side of the industry.

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot and repair CNC machines at customer locations
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and automation issues
• Install and commission CNC equipment
• Replace ball screws, motors, cartridge spindles and other components
• Use ladder logic and control diagnostics to identify problems
• Repair spindle bearings and align tooling
• Interface and align bar-feed units
• Perform first-part runoffs and verify machine functionality
• Provide technical troubleshooting support to customers by phone
• Travel throughout the local region to support customers

What We're Looking For

• 3–6 years of CNC machine-tool experience
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
• Experience reading ladder diagrams and working with CNC control diagnostics
• Understanding of machining principles and geometry
• Swiss CNC experience is a plus
• Strong customer communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in the field
• Valid driver's license and passport
• Ability to travel up to 75%, primarily within the local tri-state area
