Love figuring out why a machine isn't working — and actually fixing it?
We're looking for a hands-on CNC Field Service Engineer to install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair CNC machine tools for customers throughout the region.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced CNC Service Technician, CNC Maintenance Technician, Machine Tool Technician or CNC Machinist with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills who wants to build a career on the OEM side of the industry.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot and repair CNC machines at customer locations
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and automation issues
- Install and commission CNC equipment
- Replace ball screws, motors, cartridge spindles and other components
- Use ladder logic and control diagnostics to identify problems
- Repair spindle bearings and align tooling
- Interface and align bar-feed units
- Perform first-part runoffs and verify machine functionality
- Provide technical troubleshooting support to customers by phone
- Travel throughout the local region to support customers
What We're Looking For
- 3–6 years of CNC machine-tool experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
- Experience reading ladder diagrams and working with CNC control diagnostics
- Understanding of machining principles and geometry
- Swiss CNC experience is a plus
- Strong customer communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Valid driver's license and passport
- Ability to travel up to 75%, primarily within the local tri-state area
