Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Mission Clearance Required in Arlington, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a leading research-focused location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this dynamic role, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, and integrity while working as part of a caring, innovative team that puts people first.

Pay Rate: $25.12 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor activity, and/or deliveries in accordance with location protocols and research-related property control practices.
• Support after-hours coverage by checking doors, gates, and restricted areas, and communicating maintenance, life system, and/or policy-related issues as they arise.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
• A Virginia DCJS License is required for positions in Virginia only.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
