What You'll Do
We are looking for a talented and creative Senior Mechanical Engineer who is fueled by a passion for engineering, driven by an uncompromising standard of excellence, humble in approach, eager to remain hands-on, and motivated by the toughest technical challenges where others see barriers, but you see opportunity. In this key role, you will be responsible for the conceptualization, design, and development of new products while helping establish new standards of engineering excellence and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct design simulations, prototyping, testing, analyses, and team reviews to ensure designs meet technical, performance, and quality standards
· Drive new product development initiatives from concept through production.
· Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and translate them into innovative design solutions.
· Apply technical expertise and a strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes to optimize product designs for performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
· Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in product design and development processes.
· Review and approve technical drawings, including structural calculations and steel/aluminum welding specifications.
· Occasional travel may be required within North America (up to 1 or 2 times per year)

Required Qualifications
· Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
· 5+ years of proven experience in product design and development.
· Experience using simulation and validation tools such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
· Strong engineering aptitude with a focus on mechanical system design in a manufacturing environment.
· Proficient with Engineering 3D CAD software.
· Ability to review and approve technical drawings and engineering calculations.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex design challenges.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· Autodesk Inventor experience, including design automation and Vault experience, preferred.
· Experience with ANSYS Mechanical Enterprise or CFD Premium (Fluent).
· Experience in sheet metal design.
· Knowledge of innovative product development processes and project management methodologies.
· Familiarity with steel and aluminum fabrication and welding practices.
· Working knowledge of HVAC systems and/or centrifugal fans.
