Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• Local & travel allowed.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Unit Details: The orthopedic unit cares for patients undergoing operative and non-operative management of musculoskeletal conditions, including total joint replacements of the hip, knee, and shoulder, fracture repairs, spine surgeries, and other orthopedic procedures. Post-operative care includes pain management with PCA and multimodal regimens, neurovascular assessments, and early mobilization protocols. The unit emphasizes same-day or next-day post-operative mobility and discharge readiness in a fast-paced, throughput-driven environment. Nurses collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, physical and occupational therapy, and care management to support functional outcomes and patient progression. Other surgical populations, such as urology, may be introduced to the unit as CMS guidelines evolve.

Shift & Scheduling: The schedule includes every other weekend and rotating holidays.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
