TRAINING POSITION
Job Description
Set-up and operate various machines in milling, drilling, boring, turning, threading and grinding operations, using specialized or general purpose work holding devices. Read N/C tapes and readbacks as directed. Adjust cams, switches, tools, stops, feeds and speeds to hold tolerances and operate efficiently. Load, unload and check parts to assure quality. Deburr parts as directed. Be alert to machine malfunctions and report same to supervisor. Work pieces range up to 1000 lbs. Crane in provided when required.
Qualifications
Requires the use of fairly complicated drawings, shop math and measuring instruments. Must be knowledgeable machinist in drilling, boring and turning. Must have experience on OTC N/C machines and be able to operate any of the production machines.
Basic Qualification
Current Oshkosh Defense Hourly Production employee or laid off Oshkosh Defense Hourly Production employee with recall rights.
