POSITION TITLE: Electrical Designer
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
POSITION OVERVIEW:

ADB is seeking a Designer, Electrical to prepare underground and overhead electrical line designs for various utility construction projects. This position will work closely with construction, engineering, internal team members, and customers to ensure that safe and accurate construction designs are created for construction project completion. The ideal candidate will be customer and quality centric focused, with a strong work ethic and ALL IN attitude.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Walk out underground and overhead construction sites to identify the best design routes for new utility placements
- Prepares construction drawings based on project requirements
- Open existing electrical equipment and document current field conditions
- Perform detailed calculations to establish design standards and specifications make corrections when needed
- Inspect installations and observe operations to ensure compliance w/ design and equipment specifications and safety standards
- Regular interaction with the public and homeowners regarding design needs for current and future construction projects
- Ability to prepare and present designs to internal leadership, team members, external customers, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned by leadership

- Basic level knowledge of Engineering programs: AutoCAD, DOJM, Max Span, Conductor SAG, Guing Calculation, Spida Calc, Google Earth Pro, Etc. Preferred
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, and driving
- This position operates out of corporate headquarters in an office environment, located at 18777 US Highway 66 Pacific, MO 63069.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, projectors, copy/fax, and smartphones.
- This job operates in a professional office environment
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- 0-3 Years of Design Engineering Experience
- Telecom and Electric experience preferred
- Construction industry experience a plus
- High School diploma or equivalent required
The starting pay for this position is $28.00/hr and may vary based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
