Cutting Operator

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in cable and wire products, is seeking a dedicated Cutting Operator to join their team. As a Cutting Operator, you will be an essential part of the production department supporting the efficient and accurate processing of cable products. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Cutting Operator

Location: Houston, TX

Pay Range: $19.86

Shift: 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, with overtime expected depending on business needs. Schedule may include some Saturdays based on operational requirements.

What's the Job?

• Remove cable from stock following order cut schedules and written instructions.
• Visually inspect cables for damage, defects, and verify length and accuracy against labels and print legends.
• Spool and cut finished cables to specified lengths according to customer requests.
• Pay close attention to special instructions such as exposing cable ends, striping, or lagging reels.
• Prepare spools for shipment, ensuring compliance with company policies and completing quality checklists for all shipments.

What's Needed?

• Ability to visually inspect cables for quality and accuracy.
• Experience with spooling, cutting, and handling cables or similar materials.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and results-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently, follow directions, and prioritize tasks effectively.
