Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical assessments of patients to develop customized therapy plans tailored to individual needs and goals.
- Create and implement progressive therapy programs aimed at addressing mobility issues, pain management, balance, and overcoming functional limitations.
- Deliver hands-on treatments which may include therapeutic exercises, gait training, and fall prevention strategies, ensuring compliance with established standards and protocols.
- Guide patients in regaining and maintaining their autonomy in daily activities, promoting independence and self-sufficiency.
- Educate patients, families, and fellow staff on wellness techniques, exercise regimens, and care strategies to enhance overall understanding and engagement in the therapy process.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and supporting seamless continuity of care.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including nursing staff, caregivers, and other therapists to provide holistic care for each patient.
- Monitor patient progress closely, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans and promptly communicating any significant changes in patient conditions to physicians and families.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The patients you will be serving primarily include individuals with mobility impairments, recovering from surgery, or coping with chronic conditions such as arthritis or neurological disorders. Specializing in the geriatric population, you will address their unique needs through targeted therapy that enhances their quality of life. Your role will involve fostering meaningful therapeutic relationships that focus not only on physical recovery but also on emotional well-being.
Qualifications
- Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey is mandatory.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation or healthcare setting is essential.
- Proven ability to communicate empathetically while demonstrating strong clinical knowledge and adaptability.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
