Position Overview

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is actively seeking a full-time Clinical Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center located in Bakersfield, California. Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite within our hospital rehabilitation facility in Bakersfield. Our setting is equipped with advanced therapeutic technologies and features a collaborative interdisciplinary environment that includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists. You will work a standard schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional flexibility to accommodate patient care needs.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Physical Therapist Assistant, your responsibilities will encompass a variety of essential tasks aimed at optimizing patient recovery, including:

  • Assisting licensed Physical Therapists in the development and delivery of personalized treatment plans to enhance patients’ mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
  • Guiding patients through customized therapeutic exercises, stretching routines, and mobility training that aid in their rehabilitation journey.
  • Educating patients and their families on effective body mechanics, exercise techniques, and proper use of home exercise programs.
  • Administering therapeutic modalities under the supervision of Physical Therapists, such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat and cold therapies.
  • Monitoring patient progress by meticulously documenting treatment outcomes, improvements in range of motion, strength gains, and overall functional capabilities.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of treatment areas along with ensuring that rehabilitation equipment and supplies are readily available.
  • Collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient needs are met and to optimize therapy outcomes.
  • Providing emotional support to patients, creating a positive and motivating environment that encourages recovery and perseverance.
  • Upholding the highest ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality in line with healthcare practices.

Our rehabilitation clinic serves a diverse clientele, including individuals recovering from sports injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions, as well as older adults requiring specialized geriatric support. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
