About the Clinicians Workday

The nurse practitioner will provide day shift neurosurgical coverage across inpatient and emergency department settings at this on-site facility. Clinical responsibilities include rounding on and evaluating all patients on the neurosurgery service, coordinating care with the neurosurgeon on call, entering orders, writing notes, and removing drains as indicated. The clinician will write daily progress notes, discharge instructions, discharge summaries, and consultation notes, and will evaluate new consults as they arise. Timely communication of changes in care plan, neurological assessment, or clinical concerns to the neurosurgeon on call is required throughout each assigned coverage period.
