Associate Industrial Engineer, Warehouse
Launch your engineering career by joining Hypertherm Associates as our Warehouse Industrial Engineer. Join our dynamic team and systematically analyze workflows, design efficient production and logistics processes, enhance operational productivity, and reduce costs while becoming an associate owner of our innovative company!
In this role, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of both technical and operational aspects of engineering in the warehouse by building a versatile skill set that covers everything from project management and supply chain optimization to data analysis and human factors engineering.
This opportunity is designed specifically for students who will be completing their Bachelor's or Master's Degree this academic year and are ready to transition from the classroom into a full-time engineering role.
As our Warehouse Industrial Engineer, you will:
Define work methods for specific warehouse areas consisting of several work cells. Identify and lead projects to improve product flow through these cells.
Develop and integrate safety procedures (job safety analysis, ergonomics, personal protective equipment, machine guarding, and lockout) into warehouse processes.
Provide daily technical support to warehouse and production teams, including training and support in programming, operation, and maintenance of all equipment in the work area.
Ensure warehouse processes operate within quality metric targets. Identify trends in quality performance, execute root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans.
Design tooling, fixtures, and workstations essential for new product introduction to warehouse cells.
Participate in the investigation and purchase of new equipment and tooling. Provide input into the equipment/process technology roadmap and develop maintenance schedules for all equipment within assigned work cells.
Create and maintain all documents and reports used to control the warehouse process, including quality, productivity, and delivery reports, standard work in each cell, value stream maps, quality data collection sheets, Engineering Changes, routing, and bills of material.
Who you are and the experience you bring:
Completion of Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering within the last three (3) years, or May 2027
Internship or co-op experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment with a focus on improvement process and equipment
Strong structured problem-solving skills, with a passion for getting to the root cause of issues
Proactive and enthusiastic about implementing new technology and continuous improvement
Independently motivated and a collaborative team player
Proficiency in Lean manufacturing, statistical analysis (Minitab), geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), SolidWorks, value stream mapping (VSM), design for manufacturability (DFM), process failure mode effects analysis (pFMEA)
Preferred experience that differentiates you:
Degree in Industrial Engineering
Oracle WMS or equivalent ERP experience
Integration of Autonomous Mobile Robots
Database management tools, including Power BI
Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
Location: Hanover, NH
Travel: Up to 10% to other Hypertherm offices or possible Tradeshows

$66,207.00-$110,347.00 AnnualThis is the base pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire.
Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors.
