POSITION/ROLE SUMMARY

The role of the Custom Manufacturing Clerk is to provide clerical support of all required office functions in our custom office that are needed to deliver World Class results in key areas of Quality, Safety, Customer Service, Cost, Line Efficiencies and Teamwork.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(Essential Functions)

OPERATIONAL

  • Work with the Custom Manufacturing Planner to effectively manage componentry and open stock inventory so as to attain/surpass the Corporation’s stated customer service goals.
  • Inputs receipts of all components used in custom manufacturing and works with site planners if there are discrepancies from suppliers to correct the purchase orders
  • Ensure the highest levels of inventory accuracy in components and finished goods. Issue adjustments where necessary to correct the JDE System.
  • Issue required cycle count sheets to cycle counter, works with Planner and finance to adjust inventory based on company guidelines.
  • Accountable to meet the Corporation’s month end goals for finished product on hand as well as controlling all component obsolescence specific to Custom Manufacturing.
  • Orders and maintains a safety stock of Office Supplies with Approved RB suppliers.
  • Issues daily picking documents for shop floor and ensures all required GMP and quality paperwork is filled in and filed as required by current SOP’s.
  • Issues required JDE and TDS documents to the shop floor to ensure shop floor is using the correct components and assembly instructions to produce the packs.
  • Ensure that office tasks, including component receiving, inventory movements and cycle counts are being performed in a timely manner. Review written operating procedures and refine where necessary. Identify problems and resolve.
  • Consistently demonstrates leadership abilities on designated lines that he/she is operating.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
  • College degree preferred or at least 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in LMS and JDE, as well as the disciplines required to work cross-functional areas at the site and external to the facility.
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Must be very detailed oriented and have strong interpersonal, communication and Team based skills.
  • Strong computer, math and language skills are critical for success.
  • Being a self-starter as well as a problem-solver is a required asset.
  • Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills.

QUALITY

  • Follows current work instruction and insures adherence to the Quality Control Plan and related SOP’s.
  • Ensures all GMP documents are completed and are accurate.
  • Retains necessary quality paperwork as defined by our Quality SOP’s

SAFETY

  • Completes regular documented Safety Audit and initiates Corrective Action as needed.
  • Follows all applicable Safety Rules and policies including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), .

TEAMWORK

  • Able to send and receive CCMail in a timely and effective manner.
  • Works effectively in a Team based work environment.

EQUIPMENT OPERATION


The Custom Manufacturing Clerk operates computers, labeling equipment and will use systems to include the use of JDE, TDS and other key operating systems needed to update and provide data for the custom operation.


PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS & CONDITIONS

The custom Manufacturing clerk will work in an office environment where lighting is good and temperatures are normal under office conditions. The individual will be required to walk in the custom area to provide updates on the floor and will be required to wear required PPE.
