Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2050 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: No medical marijuana cards accepted.

Special Requests: RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Unit Details: Acute medical unit caring for medical and telemetry patients. Patient population includes acutely ill adult and geriatric patients with general medicine/surgical or infectious disease conditions; non-acute cardiac admitting diagnoses may require telemetry monitoring. Clinical work includes EKG rhythm identification and non-titrating cardiac drips. Advanced medication infusions are provided without increased titration; decrease/weaning is allowed. Care includes pre- and post-procedure evaluation and care. Neurological assessment and care include acute ischemic stroke (AIS)/transient ischemic attack (TIA) patients. Excluded cases include active and unstable gastrointestinal bleeding, uncontrolled ischemic chest pain with unstable vital signs, and continuous NPPV. Excluded medications include Tenecteplase (TNK), insulin drip, Neosynephrine, and Nipride.

Shift & Scheduling: BJC policy: Every other weekend required. Monday through Friday. No call. No weekends.

Floating Requirements: Float required within the service line and scope.
