Maintenance Mechanic

Our client, a manufacturing organization specializing in packaging solutions, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to safety and quality, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Poughkeepsie, NY

Pay Range: $35.00/hr-$37.00/hr

Shift: 2nd Shift (1:00pm - 9:00pm), Monday through Friday, with overtime opportunities

What's the Job?

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on packaging machines, liquid fill pumps, and related equipment
• Conduct machine safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Set up machines for production runs, including palletizers, conveyor systems, and pelletizer machines
• Utilize troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
• Maintain facilities and HVAC systems to ensure optimal working conditions

What's Needed?

• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with mechanical and electrical systems
• Strong skills in HVAC, plumbing, and plant construction
• Experience with heavy equipment repair and facilities maintenance
• Proficient in troubleshooting and manual machining skills
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the job, including lifting and standing for extended periods
