Database Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Database Engineer to design, manage, optimize, and support database environments. The ideal candidate will have strong AWS, database administration, SQL, performance tuning, and data modeling expertise.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and maintain database environments on AWS.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for database resources.
• Administer and support databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, and Redshift.
• Write and optimize SQL queries and improve database performance.
• Design database schemas and apply data modeling and normalization principles.
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Implement backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes.
• Apply database security best practices and access controls.
• Collaborate with technical teams to resolve database and infrastructure issues.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Database Engineer or DBA.
• Strong understanding of AWS and IaC for database resources.
• Deep knowledge of relational and cloud database technologies.
• Strong SQL and query optimization skills.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, normalization, and schema design.
• Hands-on experience with database performance tuning and monitoring.
• Knowledge of backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Understanding of database security best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
