Summary
Job Description:
Seasonal Child Development Worker - PRN
Responsible for supervision and planning for a group of children while maintaining a safe and nurturing learning environment in which children can grow physically, emotionally, socially, and cognitively.
Job Duties:
- Have knowledge of developmental milestones appropriate for the age group and will effectively assess readiness of children in the class.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and staff.
- Collect information to prepare daily lesson plans.
- Maintain supplies and materials needed for activities.
- Encourage exploration, self-awareness, play based learning, and emotional wellbeing.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Fifteen (15) hours annual training as approved by Cabinet for Human Resources standard for Childcare Centers to be completed within the first year
Preferred Requirements:
- 1 year of childcare experience preferred
