Automotive Diagnostic Technician | $40-$50/HR | No Flat Rate

Shop Name: Automotive Solution
Location: Halifax, VA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, no weekends

Pay Rate: $40-$50/hour
Pay Type: Hourly
Earning Potential: Approximately $83,000-$104,000+ annually

About Automotive Solution

Automotive Solution is seeking an experienced Automotive Diagnostic Technician to join its independent repair shop.

For more than 40 years, the shop has built a loyal customer base through honest service and quality repairs. Today, Automotive Solution operates a four-bay shop with consistent workflow and a strong focus on advanced diagnostic work.

You'll have access to Ford and GM factory programming software, Snap-on diagnostic platforms, Autel scan tools with oscilloscopes, Xhorse programming equipment, Mitchell 1 ProDemand, Identifix, and multiple OE programming platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose complex drivability and electrical concerns
  • Perform advanced electrical testing and troubleshooting
  • Complete vehicle programming and module setup
  • Test and verify repairs using scan tools, oscilloscopes, and factory software
  • Diagnose and repair engine, suspension, steering, brake, and mechanical systems
  • Complete accurate, high-quality repairs efficiently

Qualifications

  • A-Level or strong B-Level Automotive Technician experience
  • Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to confidently diagnose drivability concerns
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Commitment to accurate, quality repairs
  • Interest in continued technical learning and growth

Compensation & Benefits
