Job Summary

The Global Tech/IT Tower Lead is responsible for leading the global category management strategy across the organization's Technology/IT spend portfolio, including software, infrastructure, hardware, cloud, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and IT services.

This role serves as the strategic procurement partner to Technology and business leadership, and is accountable for category strategy development, supplier selection, commercial negotiations, supplier relationship management, and delivery of savings and broader procurement value objectives across the assigned portfolio.

The Tower Lead manages a globally distributed team and partners closely with executive and cross-functional teams to support enterprise priorities, procurement transformation initiatives, and operational scalability within a complex global environment. This role serves as a member of the Global Procurement Leadership team and contributes to broader procurement strategy, operating model evolution, and capability development initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Category Leadership

  • Developand executecategorymanagementstrategiesacrosstheTechnology/ITspendportfolio(7-10 subcategories acrossapproximately$200-250Mincluding multi-year roadmaps aligned to business priorities,savings objectives, supplier management, risk mitigation, andoperationalrequirements.

  • Partner and engage with senior stakeholders, including C-suite, to align procurement strategies with enterprise objectives, transformation initiatives, and functional priorities.

  • Provide market intelligence, supplier insights, and category expertise to support strategic decision-making, long-term planning activities, evolving business and Technology priorities, and alignment of category strategies with key stakeholders.
  • Support and contribute to enterprise digitalization initiatives and evolving Technology strategies, including alignment to broader AI-related priorities where applicable.

Supplier & Commercial Management

  • Leadstrategic sourcing activities, supplier selection decisions,contracting activities,and complex commercial negotiations across the assigned Technology categories.

  • Develop andmaintainstrategic supplier relationships,governance models, and risk mitigation approachesto support cost optimization, service quality, scalability, operational resilience, andbroaderrisk managementobjectives.

  • Oversee contracting, supplier governance, and commercial management activities in partnership with Legal, Finance, Security, Privacy, Operations, and business stakeholders.

  • Support adherence to procurement governance standards, enterprise policies, and sourcing controls across the Technology procurement portfolio.

Financial & Business Value Delivery

  • Own category savings targets andidentifyopportunities for demand management, vendor consolidation, commercial optimization, process improvement, and broader procurement value creation.

  • Monitor supplier performance,category spend trends, contractual commitments, and market conditions to proactivelyidentifyrisks and optimization opportunities.

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and spend management activities related to the Technology procurement portfolio.

Leadership & Capability Development

  • Lead, develop, and mentor a globally distributed procurement team while fostering a collaborative, customer-focused, and high-performance environment.

  • Support capability development, knowledge sharing, and implementation of procurement best practices across category management and supplier management activities.

  • Coach and mentor procurement talent to support organizational capability growth and future procurement leadership development.

Qualifications - Experience

Minimum:

  • 10+ years of progressive procurement, sourcing, or category management experience within complex global organizations.

  • 5 years' experience supporting Technology/IT procurement categories, including software, infrastructure, cloud, hardware, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and/or IT services.

  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing category strategies across large and complex global spend portfolios.

  • Experience leading strategic supplier negotiations and managing executive-level supplier relationships.

  • Experience partnering with senior business and Technology stakeholders in a matrixed global environment.

  • Experience leading geographically distributed teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Strong commercial, analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting procurement transformation,operatingmodel redesign, orglobalcentralization initiatives. Experience within multinational, technology, services, or BPO environments.

  • Familiaritywith procurement technologies, source-to-contractprocesses, and supplier governance frameworks.
