A growing Midwest transportation company is hiring a Diesel Mechanic in Sauk Village, IL to maintain and repair a fleet of 150+ semi-trucks.
Ideal candidates have strong PM and troubleshooting experience. Apply now to join a stable in-house fleet operation. Pay: Up to $45/hour (based on experience)Schedule: Monday Friday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PMOvertime available Duties & Responsibilities:
* Perform preventive maintenance services and routine inspections on a fleet of 150+ semi-trucks.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues to keep equipment safe, reliable, and road-ready.
* Maintain and repair a multi-make fleet including Volvo, Freightliner, International, and Mack trucks.
* Identify maintenance issues during inspections and complete repairs efficiently to support fleet uptime.Required:
* Experience performing preventive maintenance and inspections on heavy-duty diesel trucks.
* Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on semi-trucks.
* Hands-on troubleshooting experience in a diesel shop or fleet maintenance environment.
* Experience working on a multi-make fleet, including Volvo, Freightliner, International, and Mack trucks.
* Ability to identify maintenance issues during inspections and complete repairs that support fleet uptime and safe operation. Preferred:
* Experience maintaining Class 8 trucks in an in-house fleet environment.
* Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and safety-focused equipment upkeep.
