Outside Sales Representative - Experienced

Position Overview

Atlantic Restaurant & Supermarket Equipment is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to grow our business throughout Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Long Island.

Candidates must have at least 3 years of outside sales experience in a similar role, preferably selling to supermarkets, groceries, delis, convenience stores, restaurants, pizzerias, cafés, bakeries, or other food businesses.

An established customer base and industry relationships within the territory are strongly preferred.

This position requires reporting to our Kearny, NJ office each morning before traveling to the sales territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop new customers and grow sales throughout the assigned territory.
• Regularly visit food businesses and build relationships with owners and decision-makers.
• Leverage existing relationships while actively prospecting for new accounts.
• Identify equipment, refrigeration, walk-in cooler/freezer, new-store, and renovation opportunities.
• Prepare quotes, follow up, negotiate, and close sales.
• Maintain an active pipeline and meet sales and gross-profit targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of outside sales experience in a similar industry – required.
• Existing relationships with food-retail and restaurant customers strongly preferred.
• Strong prospecting, relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Bilingual or multilingual is a plus, particularly Spanish, Arabic, Turkish, or Russian.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Experience with restaurant/supermarket equipment, refrigeration, food distribution, beverages, packaging, POS, or related industries is a plus.
