About the Opportunity

S & C Automotive is seeking B-Level or C-Level Automotive Technicians in Batavia, IL. The shop offers hourly pay of $35–$45 for B-Level Technicians and $20–$25 for C-Level Technicians, along with weekly pay and a Monday–Friday schedule.

The workload consists of approximately 60% Post Office fleet repairs, 35% domestic vehicle work, and 5% European vehicle maintenance.

The operation is housed in a warehouse-style facility with one bay door. Inside, technicians have access to 7 vehicle lifts, plus additional flat-work space capable of accommodating up to 4 more vehicles. This setup provides room to keep multiple jobs moving while allowing technicians to stay focused on diagnostics, maintenance, and repair.

Technicians are not responsible for parts ordering or building estimates, allowing them to spend more of their day doing hands-on automotive work.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair light-duty vehicles

• Perform engine and transmission repairs and replacements

• Complete general automotive maintenance and repair

• Diagnose and repair electrical concerns

• Perform vehicle inspections

• Diagnose drivability concerns

• Complete European vehicle maintenance as assigned

• Perform Post Office fleet and domestic vehicle repairs

• Complete flat-work repairs and maintenance as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of automotive repair experience for B-Level Technician candidates

• Minimum 3 years of automotive repair experience for C-Level Technician candidates

• Experience with automotive diagnostics and drivability concerns

• Experience performing engine, transmission, electrical, and general mechanical repairs

• Reliable personal transportation to and from the assigned work location

• ASE certifications preferred
