Operates wire-processing equipment, including respool, taping, wrapping, braiding, NEB, and Wardwell machines.
Training and Shift: This position trains on 1st shift for the first 6 months and then moves to 3rd shift.

Requirements
Machine Operator - Wire/Respool
Operates wire-processing equipment, including respool, taping, wrapping, braiding, NEB, and Wardwell machines.
Training and Shift: This position trains on 1st shift for the first 6 months and then moves to 3rd shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Read work orders and set up wire-processing equipment.
- Adjust speed, tension, wire length, and spool size.
- Load and thread wire reels using appropriate lifting equipment.
- Inspect wire and verify sizes using micrometers and Acromag equipment.
- Identify defects and complete production records and finished-goods tags.
- Perform routine equipment cleaning and maintenance.
- Follow safety, quality, 5S, and Lean procedures.
- Assist with training entry-level operators after 6 months of service.
- Train on additional equipment to prepare for advancement to Machine Operator II.
- Knowledge of wire, metal types, calibration, and color codes.
- Ability to lift 35 lbs. unassisted and handle up to 100 lbs. with a lifting device.
- Ability to train on 1st shift for 6 months and transition to 3rd shift.
Operates automated equipment used to manufacture components and finished products.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate automation equipment.
- Prepare materials for production.
- Inspect products using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and torque testers.
- Record inspection and production data.
- Perform equipment adjustments, minor repairs, and changeovers.
- Troubleshoot equipment and product issues to reduce downtime.
- Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping procedures.
- Experience using precision measuring tools.
- Experience with automation equipment preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- 3 or more years of machine-operation experience.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience using basic hand tools.
- Basic math, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and safety procedures.
- Ability to stand and work around machinery for extended periods.
- Team-oriented attitude and willingness to support others.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
