Full job description

Our client, a leading aviation engineering and aircraft completions organization, is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer to join their team. As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting Aircraft Modifications, Avionics Upgrades, and VIP/VVIP Completion Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and outstanding communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Electrical Systems Engineer
Job Type: 12plus months Contract, Potential to convert
Location: Lake Charles or Dallas TX
Pay Range: $50-56/hr

What’s the Job?

  • Design and analyze aircraft electrical systems and components for interior modifications, avionics upgrades, and STC projects.
  • Prepare engineering reports, electrical drawings, analyses, test plans, and Engineering Authorizations (EAs).
  • Develop electrical installation procedures, work instructions, and modification recommendations.
  • Coordinate electrical engineering activities with project managers to ensure project schedules and deliverables are met.
  • Support certification activities, regulatory approvals, and electrical kit development while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
What’s Needed?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of aviation electrical engineering experience, including aircraft electrical system design, modification, and certification.
  • Knowledge of FAA certification processes including STC, ODA, airworthiness, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar engineering design software is preferred.
