Full job description

Our client, a leading automotive manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join their team in Detroit, MI. In this role, you will lead a skilled trades team supporting critical plant utility operations, including the Energy Center and Wastewater Treatment Plant. The ideal candidate will be an experienced maintenance leader with strong troubleshooting, communication, and team leadership skills who can drive safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Location: Detroit, MI

Pay Range: $30 + (Depending on experience)

What’s the Job?

  • Lead approximately 16 skilled trades employees supporting Energy Center and Wastewater Treatment operations.
  • Plan and prioritize preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities.
  • Oversee maintenance of critical industrial utility systems and equipment
  • Coordinate contractors, vendors, and service providers working on site.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and drive improvements in safety, reliability, and equipment uptime.

What’s Needed?

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial facilities, or automotive operations.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory or team-leadership experience, preferably leading skilled trades.
  • Associate degree in a related technical field preferred, bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance, troubleshooting, and mechanical/electrical systems.
  • Experience with Energy Center operations and/or wastewater treatment is highly preferred.
